Cookies
What is stored in your browser. You are not tracked here.
First things first: you are not tracked here
This site uses no advertising, social network or tracking cookies, and shares your browsing with nobody. Visits are counted on our own server, with no cookies, without storing your IP address and with no way of identifying you.
The little that is not essential —counting your visit and the videos that live on YouTube or Vimeo— stays off until you say otherwise. Refusing takes a single click, exactly like accepting, and you lose nothing by doing it: the whole site reads the same. You can change your mind whenever you like in the panel at the end of this page, also reachable from the footer of any page.
What a cookie is
A tiny file the site keeps in your browser to remember something between one page and the next. Without any, every page would treat you as if you had just arrived.
The essential ones
They cannot be switched off here because the site does not work without them, and the law does not require asking permission for these.
- vuelo_session — recognises you while you browse, if you have signed in. It lasts as long as the browser stays open, or thirty days if you tick "remember me", and disappears when you sign out. It belongs to this site.
- vuelo_cart — keeps your basket when you buy without an account, so it survives moving between pages. It belongs to this site.
- vuelo_consent — remembers what you decided here, so you are not asked again on every page. It lasts one hundred and eighty days and holds only your choice: not who you are, not where you have been. It belongs to this site and is copied into no database.
- Payment gateway cookies — Stripe may set its own when you reach the payment step, to spot fraud. Payments cannot be taken safely without them, so they only appear at that moment. They are Stripe's and its own policy governs them.
Your theme choice —light or dark— is kept in your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie: it goes nowhere else.
The ones that are up to you
They are born switched off. Until you say yes, none of them is active.
- Visit measurement — counts which pages are read, on our own server and with no cookies. Say no and your visit is simply not counted; say yes and the page, the language and a fingerprint of the day are noted, one that cannot identify you and stops working the next day.
- YouTube and Vimeo videos — videos never load on their own: until you press play all you get is the cover image, which lives on this server. Accept this category and they play at the first tap; decline and you are warned before connecting, and you can still watch just that one. Once a video loads, YouTube or Vimeo set cookies of their own and their policy governs them, not ours.
How to remove them
You can change your choice in the panel at the end of this page, and delete or block cookies whenever you like from your browser settings. Bear in mind that without the session cookie you will not be able to reach your account, without the basket one your basket will empty as you move between pages, and if you delete the one holding your choice you will be asked again.
Your cookie preferences
You choose here, and you can come back whenever you like: this page is not going anywhere. Rejecting costs exactly what accepting costs, and you lose nothing by doing it.
You have not chosen yet, so for now only the essential ones are active.
Your choice is kept for 180 days in this browser (in the vuelo_consent cookie) and then you are asked again. It is not recorded anywhere else.
