The papers of the house
Sales terms
Prices, shipping, guarantee and what happens if something arrives damaged.
Some studio details are missing
Anything in square brackets is a detail of the owner still to be filled in. It is left in plain sight on purpose: a gap you can recognise beats a detail that was made up.
Who sells, and to whom
The seller is Detail still to be filled in: [FULL NAME OF THE OWNER], Spanish tax number Detail still to be filled in: [NIF], based at Detail still to be filled in: [POSTAL ADDRESS OF THE STUDIO]; all the details are in the legal notice. The buyer is you, either as a private person —with every right the law gives a consumer— or as a business.
Before paying you are asked to accept these terms by ticking a box —never ticked for you— and you are told separately about the right of withdrawal. Your order records which version you accepted and when: the terms published at that moment and no other.
What is sold here
Original artworks, which are one of a kind, and prints of those works. An original is sold once: when it finds a home it leaves the shop and moves to the gallery of sold work. Every listing says what the piece is, how big it is, what it is made of and whether it is framed.
Photographs are taken with all the care there is, but every screen shows colour its own way: there may be a small difference from the real piece. And work made by hand carries the small irregularities of the craft: that is part of the piece, not a fault.
Prices and taxes
Prices are shown in euros with taxes included. Detail still to be filled in: [VAT REGIME THAT APPLIES]. Shipping is worked out before payment and is always visible, next to the total, before you confirm the order. If you buy from outside the European Union, your country's duties and taxes are yours to pay and are collected by customs or the carrier.
How buying works
You choose, you check the basket, you give your delivery details and you pay. Then you get an email with the order reference: that email confirms it reached the studio. The contract closes when the payment is confirmed.
If a one-of-a-kind piece sells in two places at once, or something cannot be supplied, you are told and refunded in full as soon as possible.
Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe, a secure payment gateway. This site never stores your card details.
Shipping
Every piece is prepared and packed by hand, so an order takes Detail still to be filled in: [PREPARATION TIME] to leave the studio. It ships to Detail still to be filled in: [SHIPPING AREAS] with Detail still to be filled in: [CARRIER], and once it goes you will get an email with the tracking details.
Delivery will never take longer than thirty calendar days from the confirmed order; if that were not possible you are told, and you may cancel with a full refund. Until the piece reaches your hands —or those of whoever you name— the risk is the studio's.
If something arrives damaged
If a piece arrives damaged, write with a photo as soon as you see it, ideally within the first seventy-two hours. You lose no right by taking longer: it gets sorted —replacement or refund— without argument.
Guarantee
If you buy as a consumer you have three years of legal guarantee from receiving the piece for any lack of conformity with what was offered: you can ask for repair, replacement, a price reduction or your money back, on the terms the law sets. The guarantee does not cover the passing of time or damage from improper use or care: work on paper left in the sun fades.
Changing your mind
You have fourteen calendar days to withdraw from the purchase, with the exception the law makes for work made to order. It is set out in full, with its form, on the right of withdrawal page.
Complaints
Write to Detail still to be filled in: [CONTACT EMAIL] and you will get an answer. If there is still no agreement, you can turn to the consumer services of your region or to the courts where you live.
